Intellectual Property and Trademark Notice
DECTIFY's marks identify our products and stand for the standards we hold them to. This notice sets out what we own, how you may refer to it, and what you may not do with it.
1. Ownership
The DECTIFY name, the DECTIFY logo, the product names listed in clause 2, and the distinctive look and feel of the DECTIFY HUB are trademarks, service marks or trade dress of DECTIFY Technologies Private Limited, protected under the Trade Marks Act, 1999 (India), the Trade Marks Act 1995 (Cth) (Australia), and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. Copyright in our software, documentation, model cards, website and marketing materials is owned by DECTIFY or its licensors.
Nothing on our website, in our documentation, or in any commercial dealing grants any licence to use our marks except as expressly stated in this notice or in a signed agreement.

3. Permitted referential use
You may use our word marks, without a licence, to refer accurately to DECTIFY or its products — in news reporting, commentary, comparative statements that are truthful and substantiated, academic work, integration documentation, and internal materials. When you do:
- Use the mark as an adjective followed by the generic term, not as a noun or verb: "the DECTIFY HUB platform", not "a DECTIFY" or "to DECTIFY a feed".
- Use the correct spelling and capitalisation. DECTIFY is set in full capitals. Product names are set in the casing shown in clause 2.
- Do not pluralise, abbreviate, hyphenate, translate or incorporate the mark into a compound word.
- Attribute on first prominent use: "DECTIFY and FaceTrack are trademarks of DECTIFY Technologies Private Limited."
- Make clear that your product, site or content is yours and is not produced, endorsed or sponsored by DECTIFY.
4. Use of the logo
Use of the DECTIFY logo or device mark requires prior written permission, except that a current customer or integration partner may use the logo, unaltered and in an approved colourway, solely to identify a factual relationship with DECTIFY, and press may use it in an article about DECTIFY.
You must not alter the logo's proportions, colours, orientation or spacing; add effects, outlines or shadows; place it on a background that impairs legibility; combine it with your own mark into a lockup; animate it; or use it as a favicon, app icon or social avatar for anything other than an official DECTIFY channel.
5. Prohibited uses
You must not:
- Register or use a domain name, social media handle, application name or business name that incorporates a DECTIFY mark or a confusingly similar variant, including common misspellings.
- Use a DECTIFY mark in a keyword advertising campaign, metadata or hidden text in a way likely to divert traffic or suggest an association.
- Use a DECTIFY mark on merchandise, packaging or promotional items without written permission.
- Imply certification, partnership, authorisation, accreditation or endorsement that does not exist.
- Use a DECTIFY mark in connection with any deployment prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy, or in a manner that disparages DECTIFY or damages the goodwill in the mark.
- Copy, adapt or imitate the DECTIFY HUB interface, iconography or trade dress.
6. Patents and other rights
DECTIFY's inventions may be the subject of granted patents or pending applications in India, Australia and other jurisdictions. Current filings are listed at [patent listing page]. Nothing in this notice grants any patent licence, expressly or by implication, estoppel or otherwise. Open source components distributed with DECTIFY software are governed by their own licences, listed at Third-Party Terms.
7. Third-party marks
Marks belonging to others that appear in DECTIFY materials — including those of cloud providers, camera manufacturers, model authors and standards bodies — remain the property of their owners and are used for identification only. Their appearance is not an endorsement of DECTIFY by the owner.
8. Reporting misuse and infringement claims
Report suspected misuse of a DECTIFY mark to legal@dectify.in, with the mark concerned, where you saw it, and a screenshot or link.
If you believe DECTIFY material infringes your intellectual property, write to the same address with: identification of the right you hold, identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it appears, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorised, and a statement that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act. We follow the notice-and-action procedure and timelines under rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
9. Reservation
DECTIFY reserves all rights not expressly granted. Permission granted under this notice may be revoked at any time, and any use that falls outside it must cease on notice. This notice may be amended without prior warning; the version in force is the one published here.
